The newsletter was sent out in email.  There are printed copies available in the parlor and more will be printed as requested.  Please take copies to deliver personally to our friends who do not have email.  It will be a good chance to check in on them as temperatures are supposed to get extremely cold and it will help to save on postage. 
The newsletter includes a 2025 Directory Update form.  Please complete and return to Tammy, especially if ANY of your information has changed or if you have additional information to add.  A new photo might be nice as well, submit jpg to [email protected]
Thank you to everyone who submitted articles, information and photos for the newsletter.  Anyone is welcome to submit items for the newsletters.  There is space allocated in the newsletter for each committee, PNC, Board/Session, PTL, Children’s Church, Kid’s Group, Praise Band, any other group or volunteer within the church, Music Director, flyers/information for upcoming events, photos and reports of past events, etc.  This is a great opportunity for our members to learn about what is happening in the church.  Please consider submitting something for the March/April Newsletter.  The submission deadline will be February 26th.

  • The Per Capita amount for 2025 is $48.00.
  • Congregational Meeting on Sunday, February 8th following the 10:30 Service to vote on PNC Candidate.
Weekly Calendar Items:
  • Worship Service: Sunday at 8:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
  • Sunday Bible Study: Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the parlor and on Zoom. Studying Disciplines 2024.
  • PTL Service: Sunday at 9:00 a.m. PTL service in the Fellowship Hall. Breakfast is served at 8:50 a.m.
    • Children’s Church: Children leave PTL at 9:25 and return at 10:10.
  • Worship Service: Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
  • Intercessory Prayer Group: Open to all, meets each Monday at 9:00 a.m. in the classroom downstairs.
  • Strings Ensemble: Rehearsals on Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Friendship Hall (downstairs).  Except when the board meets the rehearsal will be moved to 6:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday Bible Study: Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in the parlor & on Zoom, resuming Tuesday, January 14th. Please join us!
  • Ladies’ Lunch: 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. January will be at Gottsche 148 Bistro for the month.
  • Men’s Breakfast: Wednesday at 6:00 a.m. at Black Bear.
  • Music Rehearsals: Wednesday night: PTL Praise Group 4:30, Simple Gifts 6:00, Choir 6:45 & Bells 8:00.
  • Wednesday Wonders: Wednesday evenings from 4:30 to 5:45 in the Fellowship Hall. Open to 3rd grade and up. Bible study, pizza and games. Contact Amy Culbreath with questions.

  • Cookie Jar Auction for Skylar Ohrt: Saturday, February 1st at the Fair Building. Pulled pork dinner at 5:00 p.m. and auction to start at 6:00 p.m.   Skylar is a local 5th grade student who needs a kidney transplant because of end stage renal disease.

  • Meet & Greet Potluck: Our PNC Candidate will be here to visit with us on Saturday, February 8th.  There will be a fried chicken potluck at 4:30 in the Fellowship Hall.  Members are asked to bring sides and desserts to share.
  • PNC Candidate Sermon & Congregational Meeting: The PNC Candidate will deliver a sermon on Sunday, February 9th at 10:30 a.m. service. There will be NO 8:00 service on the 9th but the  9:00 service  will proceed as normal.  All members are asked to attend the 10:30 service to listen to the sermon. Following the service, we will have a congregational meeting to vote on whether to invite the candidate to be our full-time pastor.

Notes and Notices:
  • Found: Anyone missing a single key on a cowboy hat keyring?  It was left on the box on my office door.  It is now hanging on the bulletin board outside my office if you would like to claim it.  It has “Warren” written on it.
  • There are several items that were “lost” and have been “found” in either the church or the hall.  If you are missing something, please be sure to check the lost and found!
  • Don’t forget to fill out a directory update form if any of your contact information has changed. 
  • Help to recognize the “silent disciples” in our church community by filling out the Silent Disciple nomination form.  There are many people who work behind the scenes to support and uplift us. 
  • Our memory tree is a great way to recognize both past and present members of our church family for their contributions to our fellowship of faith.
